For China, we’ve added ChinaBond Composite Indices.

In the chart below, we calculated several performance metrics on a selection of their fixed income indices, and highlighted the results as a heatmap.

India

We’ve added State Government Level indicators for India. You can now access 'Monthly Key Indicators for the State Accounts' for the 29 States of India.

In the chart below, we displayed the Government Accounts for Maharashtra as of March 2021. Series are aggregated following the Indian Fiscal Year, March being the last month. Data therefore represents the State Government Account for FY 2020.

We’ve also added more indicators on Unemployment Rate, with an estimated weekly series, and a 30-days trailing variable. These High-Frequency indicators provide early insights on the Indian Economy. In the chart below, we put all three Unemployment variables - monthly rate, weekly estimate, 30-days trailing – in one chart.

While the official unemployment rate for June is currently standing at 9,17%, the HFI variables already indicate a further decrease for July.

Colombia

For Colombia, we’ve expanded our coverage for Employment, with sector breakdowns. In the chart below, we looked at the ‘Artistic Activities, Entertainment, Recreation & Other Services’ Sector, which appeared to be highly seasonal.

By slicing the data on the yearly basis, and rebasing all segments to January = 100, the impact of Covid-19 appeared clearly, with what tends to be the busiest period of the year suddenly becoming the slowest (June to August). Recovery is slow, as the 2021 trend is so far still below the levels of the period 2015 – 2019.
