The Federal Reserve Bank of New-York recently calculated a new index for Global Supply-Chain Pressures (GSCPI). This index is estimated using monthly 27 variables and has been normalized so that it is expressed as number of standard deviations above / below its average value.

In the chart below, we displayed the GSCPI index against the Chinese PPI, expressed as YoY % change.
Oman
As part of our ongoing project to expand our data coverage on the MENA region, we’ve just added CPI Weights for Oman. This will now allow you to calculate inflation contributions for the country, as displayed in the chart below.
For the past years, Transport, which is weighting 20%, has been the main driver of inflation.
