Though we haven’t highlighted it in the news previously, over the last few months we’ve made substantial increases to our tourism data for a variety of countries. The last two weeks were no exception, with the focus being on Asian countries: Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and the Philippines. In the chart below we take a look at how much tourists from different countries spend on average, per visit, in Indonesia.
US health insurance coverage
Health insurance in the US has been a well discussed topic of late. As has the blight of fake news and alternative facts. Which makes this addition rather well timed. The data covers both private and governmental health insurance, and can be broken down by type within those categories. The chart below takes a state-by-state look at the proportion of inhabitants not covered by health insurance, comparing values in 2012 and 2015.
Household loans in Portugal
This addition provides detailed data on secured and unsecured housing and consumption loans.
We’ve added EU budget data from the European Commission. This time we will not highlight the data with a chart, but rather take the opportunity to demonstrate how the data is structured. This also acts as a reminder about the slider, which helps you to filter for granularity.
