Indicators from KOF Swiss Economic Institute
We’ve added two indicators from KOF, one is an employment indicator and the other an indicator of the business situation in Switzerland. In the chart below the employment indicator has been lagged by two quarters and compared to the unemployment rate presented on an inverted axis.
Poll data for the French parliamentary elections
In the chart below you have poll data for the French Parliamentary Elections. The first round of elections was held this past Sunday, the 11th of June 2017. At this point there is little doubt that Macron’s party will win the majority. So, the question now is, just how large will that majority be? Some have speculated that it is likely be one of the largest in the history of the 5th republic. The second and final round of elections will be held this Sunday the 18th of June.
UK: Debt-to-income ratios
Household debt-to-income ratios have been added for the UK. In the chart below the data is presented as a stacked area chart and broken down into two categories, mortgage debt and non-mortgage related debt.
Tourism data for Iceland
The final chart shows how the slice function can be used for tourism data, using the recent addition of tourism data for Iceland. In this case, the chart shows the monthly mean since 2002, for tourists from the UK and the US entering via the airport.
